There will be groups there from all over the world who, like us, are members of the IFM-SEI. For 10 days next summer we will share cooperative values, play cooperative games, make new friendships, take part in educational workshops, enjoy adventurous activities and spend evenings chilling and singing songs around the campfire. We recruited 8 or 9 new children at the start of term.We've just been running another campaign for new members, with support from our comms officer, Lauren, at Woodcraft HQ. This coincided with two arms fairs at Twickenham Rugby Ground. The Zoom meetings were a great success - necessity was definitely the mother of invention. The group leaders, and the young people equally, put a huge effort into the virtual meetings. We found out each others' news; played 'fortunately/unfortunately' on a pretend explorer trip to Europe (ended up getting eaten by a bear); did some group dragon drawing; sang the 'Elephant in the attic' action song; and sowed some seeds that (hopefully) will grow into a dinosaur garden.
