London Region Elfin Music Event

Sunday 16 October 2011
12:00 to 16:30

On Sunday the 16 October 2011, you are invited to participate in an Elfin Music event at the Central Hall Westminster.  Nearest Tube Station, Westminster or St. James Park. The event will start at 12.00 noon and finish by 4.30pm. You will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink. We hope to be able to provide some drinks during the afternoon but we are still checking this out with the venue.

A number of workshops are planned for the day:

  • Action Song
  • New Woodcraft Songs
  • Making musical instruments from recyclable material
  • Non Woodcraft Songs
  • Ukulele playing
  • Music Games

We would also like to have some community folk singing and would like the group to practise the following songs which can be found in the ”Campfire Songs for the Woodcraft Folk”

  • Back of the Bus                              page 12
  • Blue Lake and Rocky Shore             page 16
  • Mighty Song of Peace                      page 39
  • Wouldn’t it Be a Wondrous Thing     page 66
  • I Want to Know it’s Real                  page 32

There will also be an opportunity for groups or individuals to sing or perform a musical act.

The London Regional Committee are hosting the event to encourage  music and singing in our groups and will be paying for all of the central costs. We hope to see as many Elfin groups, from London, as possible at the event.
